Back to OUR WORK
A runway show, a Moenia concert, and an unforgettable party to celebrate the grand opening of Hotel Clandestino in San Miguel de Allende.
vbmusic x Moenia: A Night to Remember
When vbmusic gets called for a project, it’s never ordinary—and the opening night of Hotel Clandestino was no different. Tucked away on Pila Seca Street in San Miguel de Allende, this boutique hotel is a perfect mix of Mexican art and design. Every inch of the space, from the sculptural pieces to the murals, feels like it tells a story.
A Vision Like No Other
For its grand opening, the hotel’s owners wanted an event that matched its artistic vibe and left a lasting impression. The night had it all: a fashion show by Colombian brand Pepa Pombo, a private concert by Moenia, and an after-party to cap things off. Alfonso Pichardo, co-owner of the hotel and Moenia’s legendary vocalist, brought us into the mix and introduced us to Pepa Pombo. Together, we pulled off an unforgettable night that blended fashion, music, and art seamlessly.
The Fashion Show
The evening kicked off with a breathtaking runway show by Pepa Pombo. Models made their way down from the third floor, with music and lighting perfectly timed by the vbmusic team. The hotel courtyard became the stage, and the bold, textured designs from the collection matched the hotel’s artistic vibe perfectly. Guests were drawn into the magic of it all, with every detail adding to the atmosphere.
Moenia Takes the Spotlight
For us, Moenia has always been a massive inspiration—their vibe, aesthetic, and music have influenced vbmusic in so many ways. Sharing this stage with them was more than just work; it was personal. Alfonso was incredible to work with—patient, charismatic, and totally trusting of our vision. While we’d worked with him before in more administrative roles, seeing him transform on stage was unforgettable. It’s a memory we’ll carry with us forever.
Their performance lit up the night. With a mix of iconic hits and new sounds, Moenia filled the air with their signature electronic vibe. The small stage in the hotel’s main courtyard created an intimate setting for the 300 invited guests, making it feel like a private concert just for them.
Setting the Scene
Our team handled everything from coordinating the runway to creating visuals for the inauguration and even managing Moenia’s lighting setup. The challenge was huge—independent audio points were spread across hallways, courtyards, and hidden corners, turning the entire hotel into part of the concert. A central linear audio system, paired with column speakers, delivered balanced sound that made every note hit perfectly.
Instead of a traditional DJ booth, we set up the DJ station in the terraces’ corridors, blending the music into the flow of the event. It was a fresh take that kept the party atmosphere alive without taking away from the venue’s unique charm.
The After-Party
As the night went on, the energy shifted to the after-party. Guests mingled in the bar and terrace areas, enjoying a mix of house beats and chill grooves. It was surreal to realize that the same audio setup we’ve used for so many parties was now carrying Moenia’s legendary sound. That’s something we’ll always be proud of.
Reflecting on the Night
This wasn’t just an event; it was a celebration of creativity and connection. From Pepa Pombo’s stunning designs to Moenia’s unforgettable performance, every part of the night came together perfectly. Being part of a project that highlighted art, music, and design in such a meaningful way was a true honor. Here’s to many more nights like this.
